Do item 1 before anything else. It builds a one-page brain file: what you sell, who buys, how you sound, what you can prove and what must never be said. Without it, every code on this list gets a stranger's guess at your business. With it, the same code gets your prices, your customers' words and your rules. That's the idea behind everything I teach: one prompt works because everything behind it is built. Save the file, add it to a Claude Project (or paste it above any prompt), then run item 2 to check it holds.

Foundations

The four that make every other code work: a brain file, a test that it holds, your voice, and a check before anything goes out.

  • A one-page file that stops the AI guessing about your business.

    What it does

What it does: Interviews you about your business and writes a one-page file the AI reads before every job. Replaces re-explaining your business at the top of every chat.

Use it when: First. Before any other code on this list. Update it when your offer or prices change.

    What you need

    • Your offers and prices
    • A few phrases customers actually use
    • What you never want said
    • The full fill-in version, if you'd rather type than be interviewed Use the template

    Connect these for better results

    • Google Drive (MCP connector)Claude can read your existing price list, service pages and old proposals while it interviews you, so it asks fewer questions. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
    Open it
  • Finds where the AI makes things up, and the fix.

    What it does

What it does: Tests whether the AI admits what it doesn't know, then tells you exactly what to add to your brain file. Replaces finding out it invents things in front of a customer.

Use it when: Straight after item 1, and again whenever you change the brain file.

    What you need

    Open it
  • Brand voice

    Skill

Voice rules from your own writing, then drafts that sound like you.

    What it does

What it does: Learns how you write from five real samples, turns it into rules and a banned list, then rewrites any draft so it sounds like you. Replaces rewriting every AI draft by hand.

Use it when: Once to set up: paste five things you've written and say "work out my voice rules". Then any time a draft sounds like a robot wrote it, say "put this in my voice".

    What you need

    Connect these for better results

    • Gmail (MCP connector)Claude can pull your own sent emails as samples instead of you copying them in. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.

  • Flags made-up claims, risky promises and private details before sending.

    What it does

What it does: Reads any draft before it leaves the business and flags unsupported claims, risky promises, private details and anything that needs a qualified person. Replaces the nervous final reread, and catches what a tired one misses.

Use it when: Before anything goes to a customer, a client, your list or the public. Say "check this before I send it".

Win the work

Enquiries, proposals, follow-ups and the proof that closes the next one.

  • An itemised proposal from your call notes, with nothing invented.

    What it does

What it does: Turns a brief or call notes into an itemised proposal: the problem in the client's words, every deliverable on its own line, assumptions, exclusions and one clear price. It lists the facts it's using and asks for the dates and terms it doesn't have before it drafts, so it doesn't make them up. This is the structure I use for my own proposals. Replaces an afternoon of starting from a blank document.

Use it when: After a discovery call or a detailed enquiry. Say "write the proposal for [CLIENT]" and paste your notes.

    What you need

    Connect these for better results

    • A meeting recorder (Fathom, Read AI and similar) (MCP connector)Big differenceWorks from the full call transcript instead of your notes, so the problem section uses the client's exact words and fewer items come back as [CHECK].
    • Google Drive (MCP connector)Claude can read a past proposal you were happy with and match its layout and level of detail. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
    Open it
  • A one-page call brief: their problem, your fit, five questions.

    What it does

What it does: Builds a one-page call brief: what they do, what they're trying to fix, which offer fits, and the questions worth asking. Replaces the scramble through their website and your old emails just before you dial in.

Use it when: The day before a sales call or a first meeting.

    What you need

    Connect these for better results

    • Web search (Built into Claude (switch it on in the chat))Big differenceClaude can read their website and public pages instead of telling you it can't check, so the 'what they do' section is grounded.
    • Gmail (MCP connector)Finds every past email with that company, so nothing they've already told you gets missed. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
    Open it
  • A reply that answers them, asks what you need, books a call.

    What it does

What it does: Answers what they asked, gets the details you need to quote, and makes the next step easy. Replaces the reply you mean to send tonight and actually send on Thursday.

Use it when: Any new enquiry by email, form or DM.

    What you need

    Connect these for better results

    • Gmail (MCP connector)Reads the enquiry where it sits and can save the reply as a draft in your inbox. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
    • Google Calendar (MCP connector)Offers times you're actually free instead of times you type in. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
    Open it
  • Three short follow-ups for a quote that went quiet.

    What it does

What it does: Writes three short follow-ups that get a yes, a no or a question, without pressure. Replaces the follow-up you never send because you can't find the right words.

Use it when: When a quote has had no reply for a week or more.

    What you need

    • The quote: who, what, when, price
    • What's happened since
    • Your brain file Use the template

    Connect these for better results

    • Your review link

Questions

Do I need a paid Claude plan to use these?
No. Every prompt works on the free plan. The skills are files you add to Claude once; if your plan has no skills option, paste the skill text into a Project's instructions and it still works.
Do these work with ChatGPT or other AI tools?
The prompts do. They are plain instructions with brackets for your details. The skills are written for Claude, but their text works as a prompt anywhere.
Why should I start with the brain file?
Every other code works better when the AI already knows your business. The brain file is a one-page summary of your offer, customers, voice and rules that you give it once, so you stop re-explaining yourself.
Do I need to give my email to get the codes?
No. Every code is free to open and copy. The email form sends you the list to keep, a short walkthrough and the weekly build notes.
What is AI Install?
A three day live workshop where business owners build the websites, apps and automations their business runs on, and own all of it. No agency in the middle.

Starting a business rather than running one? The Idea to Launch Checklist is the one for you.
