Weekly client update
A phone-readable client update from your rough notes.
What it does
Turns your rough notes into a short update a client can read on their phone: done, in progress, waiting on them, next. Replaces the end-of-week update that eats your Friday afternoon.
Use it when
Every week, for every active client or project.
What you need
- This week's rough notes and numbers
- Your brain file Use the template
The prompt
Copy it, fill in the [BRACKETS], and paste it into Claude.
Use my brain file (in this Project, or pasted below) for how we sound. If you don't have it, ask me for the basics first.
Client: [NAME]
Project: [WHAT WE'RE DOING FOR THEM]
This week's notes: [PASTE: WHAT GOT DONE, WHAT'S STUCK, ANY NUMBERS FROM YOUR TOOLS, WHAT'S NEXT]
Write a weekly update under 250 words with these headings:
- Done this week
- In progress
- Waiting on you (what we need and by when)
- Numbers (only the ones I gave you, with the dates they cover)
- Next week
Plain language, no jargon. If something went wrong, say so in one honest sentence, plus what we're doing about it. Don't round, estimate or add numbers.
