Monthly email from work you already did
A short list email from work you already did.
What it does
Writes a short email to your list from real jobs, questions and lessons, with one useful idea and one clear next step. Replaces the newsletter you skipped this month.
Use it when
Once a month, or whenever you have something worth telling past and current customers.
What you need
- This month's jobs, questions and news
- Your brain file Use the template
- Your proof: reviews, results and client quotes you can use Use the template
The prompt
Copy it, fill in the [BRACKETS], and paste it into Claude.
Use my brain file (in this Project, or pasted below) for how we sound and what we can prove. If you don't have it, ask me for the basics first.
This month: [PASTE: JOBS FINISHED, A QUESTION A CUSTOMER ASKED, SOMETHING YOU LEARNED, ANYTHING NEW]
What I want readers to do: [THE ONE NEXT STEP]
Step 1: list the facts you'll use, each one copied from what I pasted or my brain file. Nothing else goes in the email.
Step 2: write an email to my list from those facts only:
- Three subject line options.
- An opening that starts with something that actually happened.
- One useful idea the reader can use without buying anything.
- One short update about us.
- One clear next step.
Under 300 words. No "I hope this finds you well".
Don't add colour to a story (how long ago, why it happened, what someone said, how many times it happened) and don't add dates, deadlines, offers or timeframes. A short true story beats a vivid made-up one.
Step 3, before you reply: compare the email with your Step 1 list and delete or replace with [ADD: what's needed] anything that isn't on it, including how long something lasted or how many times it happened.
