Case study from a finished project
A case study using only what actually happened.
What it does
Turns your emails, notes and client feedback into a case study that uses only what actually happened. Replaces the case study that's been on your list since the project finished.
Use it when
When a project wraps up and the client is happy. The sooner the better, while the details are fresh.
What you need
- The brief, key emails, the client's feedback and any numbers
- Your proof: reviews, results and client quotes you can use Use the template
Connect these for better results
- Gmail (MCP connector)Pulls the project's email thread, including the client's own words, instead of you copying them over. Claude's built-in connector; check availability on your plan.
The prompt
Copy it, fill in the [BRACKETS], and paste it into Claude.
Use my brain file (in this Project, or pasted below) for how we sound. If you don't have it, ask me for the basics first.
Everything I have on a finished project: [PASTE THE ORIGINAL BRIEF, KEY EMAILS, THE CLIENT'S FEEDBACK, BEFORE AND AFTER DETAILS, ANY NUMBERS]
Client name: [NAME, OR "KEEP ANONYMOUS"]. Do I have permission to name them? [YES OR NO]
Write a case study with these parts:
1. The situation, in their words where possible.
2. What we did: specific steps, not adjectives.
3. What changed: only facts and numbers that appear in what I pasted.
4. What the client said: only real quotes, exactly as written.
5. A one-line version I can use on social media.
Rules: if a number isn't in what I pasted, don't add one. If there's no client quote, leave that part out and tell me. Mark anything that needs the client's sign-off with [CLIENT TO APPROVE]. Then give me three questions to ask the client that would make it stronger.
