Time to fill: 20 minutes (or 5 if you paste five samples into the brand-voice skill and edit what it gives you)
Tone of voice sheet
Rules the AI can check a draft against, each backed by a line you actually wrote. Fixes the AI-sounding drafts you otherwise rewrite by hand. The brand-voice skill can fill most of it from five samples.
Fill it in once, save it as a file, and give it to Claude: add it to a Project's files, or paste it above any prompt. Rough answers are fine. Leave out anything you're not allowed to share.

<!-- Every rule must be something you could check with a red pen. "Be warm" is not a rule. "Open with their name, no 'I hope this finds you well'" is. -->
## Rules (at most 8)
<!-- Copy a real line you wrote as evidence for each rule. If you can't find one, it isn't your rule yet. -->
1. [Rule]. Evidence: "[a line you wrote]"
2. [Rule]. Evidence: "[ ]"
## Openers and sign-offs
- How I open an email: [e.g. "Hi [first name]," then straight to the point]
- How I sign off: [e.g. "Cheers, Mel"]
- Team members sign off as: [ ]
## Words we use
<!-- Words and phrases that are yours: local terms, how you name your offers, the short forms you use (e.g. "BAS", not "Business Activity Statement"). -->
- [ ]
## Never use
<!-- Words that aren't you, plus AI tells: overexcited openers, "in today's world", stacked adjectives, "don't hesitate to reach out". Add exclamation marks if you rarely use them. -->
- [ ]
## Formality dial
- We or I: [ ]
- Contractions (we're, don't): [yes / no]
- Humour: [none / dry / plenty]
- Jargon: [explain it the first time / avoid it]
## Before and after
<!-- One sentence the AI might write, and how you'd actually say it. One pair teaches more than three rules. -->
- Not this: "[ ]"
- This: "[ ]"
