An AI consultant in Melbourne who builds the thing.
Most AI consulting in Melbourne ends at a recommendation. You get a workshop, a roadmap and an invoice, and the building is somebody else's problem. We do the diagnosis and then we build what it points at, which is a different service even though the first meeting looks the same.

The Melbourne market
What is actually different here.
Melbourne is where we are based, which changes the shape of the engagement rather than the price. We can sit in your office for the diagnosis week and watch how work actually moves between people, instead of taking your word for it over video. Roughly half of what we find in that week is something nobody thought to mention.
The Victorian market skews towards owner-operated services businesses and mid-sized professional firms. That is the profile where this work returns fastest, because there is no IT department to route everything through and no procurement cycle to survive before anything can be built.
It is also a market with a lot of AI consultancies that appeared in the last two years. The question worth asking any of them, including us, is what they would tell you not to automate. An answer means they have looked at your business. No answer means they are selling inventory.
Where we work in Melbourne
The areas, and what each one needs.
CBD, Southbank and Docklands
Professional services, finance and property. Long approval chains, high value per engagement.
Cremorne and Richmond
Melbourne's technology corridor. Businesses here are already using AI and need the systems layer rather than the introduction.
Inner north
Fitzroy, Collingwood, Brunswick, Preston. Creative, agency and hospitality. Strong fit for content and marketing systems.
Eastern suburbs
Camberwell through Box Hill to Glen Waverley. Professional services and family businesses, often with decades of undocumented process.
West and outer growth
Footscray, Werribee, Point Cook, Craigieburn. Trades, logistics and services scaling faster than their admin can keep up.

What is included
What you get, and what it costs.
Ongoing engagements run $2,500 to $5,000 a month. A standalone diagnosis with a ranked roadmap is $4,000 to $9,000 and is yours to take anywhere, including to another provider. A defined single build is $8,000 to $30,000.
Two of the brands we run day to day are Victorian: Coolabah Turf and StrathAyr. On the marketing side we have published 1,085 location pages on one build and reached 31 page-one keywords in month one, and on the operations side we have taken proposal turnaround from 48 hours to 1 to 2 hours and lead research from 24 hours to about 2 minutes.

Melbourne questions, answered straight.
Including what it costs, whether we cover your area, and where being Melbourne based does and does not matter.
How much does an AI consultant cost in Melbourne?
Ongoing work with us runs $2,500 to $5,000 a month. A standalone diagnosis is $4,000 to $9,000. A single defined build is $8,000 to $30,000. Melbourne rates for AI consulting vary enormously right now, from a few thousand for a workshop to six figures for an enterprise programme, so ask what is actually being built rather than comparing day rates.
Do you come to our office?
For Melbourne clients, yes, and it is included. The diagnosis week is the part of this work that genuinely benefits from being in the room, because watching how a job moves between people surfaces things nobody thinks to mention on a call. Everything after that runs the same over video.
What would you tell us not to automate?
Positioning and pricing decisions, the original insight behind a campaign, sensitive customer conversations, and relationship-driven outreach to a small number of high-value accounts. Fluent and wrong is worse than slow in all four. We will name the specific ones in your business during the diagnosis, and roughly half our first calls end with us recommending an off-the-shelf product rather than a build.
How is this different from an AI agency?
Mostly it is a difference in where the work stops. A lot of AI consulting ends at the recommendation. We do the diagnosis and then build and run the systems, and you own the code and the accounts at the end of it. If you only want the roadmap, buy the diagnosis on its own and take it wherever you like.
Do you work with small businesses?
Yes, and they usually get more from it proportionally. A two to twenty person business has no procurement process and no IT department to route through, so a system can be live in weeks. The systems that let a large company trim costs let a small one produce like a much bigger one.
How quickly will we see something working?
Diagnosis takes one to two weeks. The first working system is usually live two to four weeks after that. We deliberately ship something small and useful early rather than disappearing for a quarter, because trust is the actual constraint on this work rather than capability.
